My son's school did a lockdown drill this morning and when I picked him up he asked me, completely calm, which closet was the good hiding one in his classroom.
He wasn't scared telling me. That's what got me. He just answered it like a logistics question, the same tone he'd use for where the extra pencils are kept.
I used to think the drills were the overreaction. Now I'm not sure what the right amount of worried is supposed to look like anymore.
Anyone else just sit in the car after pickup for a minute before actually driving home.
Edit: he's fine, he's just a very matter of fact kid. I think I needed to type this out more than I needed an answer.
