Does anyone actually understand flood insurance before a storm shows up or is everyone just winging it like me. There's a new system forming in the gulf and the news keeps saying it could hit our area and I only just now found out my regular policy doesn't cover any of it, there's a whole separate waiting period I apparently needed to start a month ago. Is there something that walks you through what coverage you actually have before you're standing in a flooded kitchen trying to read a PDF. Any advice?
