saw that whole thing blow up about altman saying the ai harms are just worth it for the benefits and my stomach just dropped because i work in trust and safety reviewing the stuff these models actually produce all day and we are already understaffed and overwhelmed and now leadership is using that exact same line in meetings like its a permission slip, so every week the queue gets bigger and nobody above me seems worried about any of it they just keep saying the tradeoffs are worth it and i genuinely dont know who is supposed to be worried if not us
