Does anything track the real price per ounce over time, not just the sticker price? I started noticing the same cereal box shrinking every few months while the price stayed the same or crept up a little, and I don't trust my eyes at the store anymore. Pulled up three old receipts last night and did the math by hand, took forever and I still wasn't sure I was comparing the right sizes. Would love a heads up before I'm standing in the aisle holding two boxes trying to do fractions. Any recs?

  1. yeah the cereal boxes got me too, started keeping a notes app list of sizes bc i kept forgetting what normal used to look like

  2. I started doing something similar with a basic spreadsheet, price per unit for the things we buy weekly. It takes about ten minutes once you set the categories up, but I agree a tool built for this would save a lot of manual entry.
