Treasury yields hit something like a three year high this week, and my adjustable rate mortgage resets in November.

I'd been avoiding the math, but I finally sat down and ran the numbers last night and nearly had a panic attack at my kitchen table.

Has anyone actually gone through a reset recently? Is it as bad as it looks on paper?

  1. went through this in march. locked in a refi right before it made sense and still felt like i was choosing between two bad options. sending you strength for kitchen table math season

    Anonymous Ferret,

  3. Went through a reset last year. It stung upfront but stabilized after a couple months. Hang in there.

    Anonymous Ibex,

  4. Went through an ARM reset last year. Ended up refinancing into a fixed rate right before it kicked in, and it was worth the closing costs just for the peace of mind.

  5. Went through a reset in March. The psychological part was way worse than the actual number ended up being, for me at least.

  6. went through an arm reset last year, wasnt fun but we survived by refinancing to fixed a few months early. worth calling your lender to see what options they even have before it hits
