Got an email from my professor this week saying my last paper got flagged by an AI detector and needs a resubmission with proof of my drafting process.

I wrote every word of it in my dorm at 1am surviving on vending machine coffee, so proof of process is basically my search history and a google doc full of deleted sentences.

The detector gave it an 89 percent score. Apparently my actual writing style is indistinguishable from a robot's, which is not the compliment I was hoping for this semester.

Anyone else dealing with this. Not sure how you're supposed to prove a negative.

  1. This is INSANE. A detector should never get the final word on something like this.

  2. I had similar problem last semester, since three years my writing improved a lot from practice but detector still flagged it. Very frustrating situation.
