I've been a graphic designer for twelve years and most of the entry level work I used to rely on between bigger contracts has quietly dried up this year. I want to add a skill that actually complements what AI tools can't easily do, something like motion design or technical illustration, but I don't know how to pick one without wasting months on the wrong thing. Does anyone have a good way to test out a new skill area before committing to a full course?

  1. Try a short paid gig in that new skill BEFORE any course!! You'll find out fast if you even like it.
