Spent fifteen years in retail management. Now I'm trying to pivot into something AI proof, thinking IT support or some kind of tech adjacent role.

The problem: nobody wants to hire someone with zero certifications and no portfolio.

What actually helped you build real projects or get a beginner cert fast? YouTube videos aren't sticking.

  1. did the same thing after covid, ended up doing a free cert through my local community college that actually opened doors. worth looking into if you have one nearby
