My wife's master's degree certificate came back from the printer folded into quarters by our mail carrier. Two years of grad school, now shaped like a pamphlet. Framing it as is, honestly. Adds character.

That is an unfortunate outcome. I would recommend requesting a replacement copy directly from the institution going forward. Hard copies rarely survive standard mail.
