How do you even know anymore if a job listing is real before you spend an evening tailoring a resume for it? Applied to four last week that were still marked urgently hiring and got auto rejections within literally two minutes for all four, which has to mean nobody looked at anything, it was just a form filtering keywords. Starting to wonder how many of these postings are even open roles versus just companies collecting resumes for some future maybe. Anyone found a way to tell the difference before wasting the time?

  1. Yeah those are the evergreen listing that has been open for eight months ones. Company collects resumes, role does not really exist yet.

    Anonymous Lion,

  2. ngl same happened to me twice last month, two min rejects on a listing that was open for weeks already. kinda wish job boards flagged stale postings tbh

    Anonymous Panda,

  3. Got four auto rejections myself this month. Starting to think half these listings aren't real jobs, just data collection.
