How do I bring this up without sounding difficult? My boss now wants a written summary of every task before lunch AND after lunch. I have a whole job to do, and now I spend an hour a day reporting on the job instead of doing it.

this happened at my last job too, it never got better, i left after 4 months

Document everything and bring it up as a time management concern. Frame it around productivity, not annoyance.
